The purpose of this program is to identify residents who would benefit from a walking restorative program and/or those residents who are demonstrating a decline in the ability to ambulate. A Walk to Dine program consists of interdisciplinary team members, such as Physical and Occupational Therapists, nursing staff, dietary staff, and activity staff, who are all working with the resident to enrich his/her quality of life, promote socialization by attending meals, and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Interprofessional practice is key to a successful program.
